Infrared / Deep heat sauna
Infrared light is energy that heats the object to a depth of c. 4-5 cm. Compared to a conventional sauna, infrared heat produces 2-3 times more sweat at a sauna temperature of 40-50 C. Calorie consumption is c. 600 kcal in 30 minutes. In practice, weight loss results of many kilos have been achieved after only 10 sessions. Cellulite has been removed after a few months of regular sessions.
An infrared sauna:
• Reduces sellulite
Infrared heat increases the heart rate and blood circulation, speeding up the metabolism and burning fat. Cellulite begins to break up.
• Relaxes the body
The increased blood circulation carries oxygen and nutrients to the cells, refreshing the body and reducing fatigue.
• Relieves aches and pains
Eases muscle and joint pains.
• Improves the immune system
and peripheral blood circulation
Cell warming kills bacteria, viruses and fungi. Increases peripheral blood flow.
Removes waste products and other residues in the sweat.
• Purfies the skin
Increases growth hormone production, improving the skin's elasticity and making it smoother. Also helps in the treatment of skin diseases.
It is not recommended for pregnant women or those with an artificial joint or a pacemaker or who are under strong medication.
Take a shower and towel yourself dry before going into the sauna with a sweat-absorbent towel and swimming suit and preferably a bench cover with a plastic underside to sit on. Before, during and after the sauna, it is important to maintain fluid balance by drinking e.g. water. We have two saunas, for 2 and for 4 persons. Both saunas are equipped with a radio/CD player, ioniser (cleans the air and kills bacteria and viruses) and therapeutic lights (colour therapy for stress and fatigue).
